- Wide Applications: Screw thread tap can create new threads or re-thread damaged or jammed threads. Widely used for most metals, iron plate, copper, zinc, alloy steel, abrasive steel, A3 steel, stainless steel, etc.. Add proper tapping oil for higher quality internal threads and more durable taps.
- Material & Finish: M35 cobalt high-speed steel tap offers improved hardness, wear resistance and cutting performance, as well as and higher strength. Titanium coating offers enhanced hardness, corrosion and rust resistance, heat resistance, and reduced friction for smoother tapping.
- Tips: Machine tap is used with drill presses, tapping/CNC/milling machines. NOT recommended for hand and electric drill tapping. The higher the hardness, the slower the speed. Drill the holes with a twist drill bit first, then tap with a thread tap. The tapping angle should be 90 degrees vertical and stable.
