Petzl Sm'D Carabiner - Versatile, Lightweight, Compact, D-Shaped Locking Carabiner for Rock and Ice Climbing

Sm’D is a D-shaped locking carabiner that is lightweight, compact, and can be used in numerous climbing situations; it is easy to manipulate, even when wearing gloves, and is available in three locking system versions: SCREW-LOCK, TWIST-LOCK, and TRIACT-LOCK. SCREW-LOCK features a red band provides a visual warning when the carabiner is unlocked. This system is suitable for harsh environments where contaminants (mud, ice) could cause an automatic locking system to jam. TWIST-LOCK and TRIACT-LOCK offer quick opening for use at the end of a lanyard or connecting a GRIGRI to the harness.

• COMPACT & LIGHTWEIGHT: The "Small D" (Sm'D) design offers the functionality of a D-shape carabiner in a significantly lighter and more compact package (41-55g).
• TIBLOC KEEPER HOLE: Features a small, dedicated hole in the spine that allows you to tether a TIBLOC or MICRO TRAXION to the carabiner with a cord, making the system loss-proof.
• D-SHAPE EFFICIENCY: The asymmetrical D-shape guides the load to the major axis (23 kN), making it perfect for belay devices, pulleys, and lanyard ends.
• NON-LOCKING OPTION: The "WALL" version (M39A S/SN) features a non-locking straight gate, specifically designed for aid climbing and easy clipping during progression.
• SNAG-FREE KEYLOCK: All versions feature a Keylock nose (no hook) and a fluid interior design to prevent snagging on webbing, ropes, or bolt hangers.
